Printing for Success

Great business cards are as much about paper choice as they are about design. Papers come in different finishes; like gloss or textured. Every finish has it’s own properties that you should consider when ordering business cards.

Coated stocks, like gloss and silk are great for heavy ink coverage, like photos while uncoated stocks are great for their feel and writability.

Paper Textures

Bleeds

Bleed is the area outside the trim line that is printed with the design or color. It ensures that when the paper is cut to its final size, the design or color extends right to the edge of the page without any white gaps.

Crop Marks

Crop marks are small lines placed outside the trim area of a printed document. They indicate where the paper should be cut to achieve the final dimensions of the printed piece.
